If one was expecting breaking news, or at the very least an explanation for Biden's outburst about militarily defending Taiwan earlier this week, they were sorely disappointed. As Dan Larison points out in Responsible Statecraft, there's a reason why they call Biden's strategy (loosely defined) as 'Trump lite.'
